IEAM held in Louisville from November 14–20, 2025. Hosted by the International Association of Emergency Managers, the conference brought together global scholars, practitioners, and leaders in emergency management. The event provided a dynamic platform for learning, networking, and innovation, equipping participants with insights and professional connections that strengthen both research and practice in the field. Prabin Sharma and Yvonne Dadson received Bronze ribbons for their category presentations.
Yvonne Appiah Dadson received the 2025 IAEM Full-time Graduate Student Scholarship at the 73rd IAEM Annual Conference: Champions of Change, held in Louisville, Kentucky, from November 14–20, 2025. The International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) awarded competitive scholarships to students pursuing degrees related to emergency and disaster management to support future leaders in the field.
Yvonne Dadson and Prabin Sharma participated in the conference held March 30 – April 1, 2025, in West Virginia. The theme, “Beyond Band-Aids: Dismantling Systemic Inequities that Fuel Disaster Vulnerability,” sparked vital discussions on long-term resilience.
As part of the PRO-ACTIVE Project, CEHC researchers utilized immersive virtual reality (VR) to teach practical preparedness skills to older adults, expanding access to innovative technologies that support safety and resilience.
